Dried Boomslang Skin – Filler Ideas

I really don’t recommend traveling to Africa and skinning a boomslang. Personally, I use snake skin sheds I’ve found while out walking. I live in Texas, so snake skins are actually pretty common. We even find little tiny ones in our suburban yard, from the little Texas Brown snakes that live in the garden. If you don’t live in an area with an abundance of snake skins, or you draw the line at picking them up, you can order snake skin and snake skin sheds online (what can’t you order online, really?).

Check out this white and black cobra skin on Amazon. This would make an amazing filler!

Dried Boomslang Skin – Glass Jar Ideas

Depending on whether you are using snake skin sheds or actual snake skin, you’ll want to make sure that you get a glass bottle or container that will fit the skin. We’ve been collecting jars for years by going to thrift stores and looking for cool shaped or other jars and bottles that we would think would make a great addition to our apothecary bottle collection. If you’re not planning on going thrifting and just want to get some glass jars. You can would look at these glass jars that are available on Amazon.

Here’s a large glass jar (1 gallon) that would work for the snake skins pictured above.

Here’s a much smaller (1 liter) jar that could fit the snake skins above, but may require to trim them down to fit.

Here’s a 16 oz. jar that could be used for snake skin sheds or cuttings from the snake skin.

Dried Boomslang Skin – Label
